Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Wave CBD products different from other CBD brands?
In addition to CBD (cannabidiol), several other phytocannabinoids, as well as terpenes are present in our products because we use organic full-spectrum extract. We own all of our own formulas and are constantly improving upon them. Most other CBD brands use white labels, meaning they do not own or create their own CBD formulas. We use Colorado grown  hemp only, bred using only organic farming methods. Our products are the most allergen-friendly options available on the CBD market. We retain small-batch production practices to ensure quality in our products, and as always, are 100% vegan & cruelty-free.
Where does Wave CBD hemp come from?
All our hemp is organically grown in a licensed farm in Colorado. We work with farmers that employ sustainable and organic methods of farming. The hemp goes through an extraction facility and is tested at the farm, at the facility and by a third-party testing facility. Rest assured Wave CBD products are thoroughly handcrafted with loving intention, from cultivation to consumption.
Why do you choose to be a 100% plant-based company?
We choose to be a 100% completely vegan, organic, & cruelty-free brand because above all, we care about our earth and want to take care of her the best we can. We believe in compassion and love at its core. Using only products that we know are made with thoughtful intention is our way of showing the world how much we care.
Is this medical cannabis and do I need a doctor’s recommendation?
All Wave CBD products are hemp-derived, contain less than 0.3% THC and are hence non-psychoactive. A doctor’s recommendation is not necessary to purchase our products.
What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?
CBD stands for Cannabidiol. It is the most prominent naturally occurring cannabinoid component found in hemp. CBD is the most studied natural cannabinoid (after THC), it is increasingly studied by advanced medical research and is certainly one of the most prominent medical discoveries of the last 20 years. Unlike THC, CBD will not get you high as it is not intoxicating.
What does CBD help treat?
Although our customers use Wave products for a variety of ailments, due to FDA regulations, we cannot make claims about whether or not CBD can help with specific ailments. We do, however, suggest that you conduct your own research. Each individual is unique and has different wellness goals they are interested in addressing through the consumption and application of our products. Although some of our founders are medical professionals, we cannot make medical claims about the benefits of our products, according to FDA guidelines. We encourage you to discuss CBD with your physician or healthcare practitioner if you have any specific health-related questions or concerns. There are also many independent, peer-reviewed studies about CBD available on the internet. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
What are terpenes?
Terpenes are naturally occurring aromatic compounds found in fruits, flowers and herbs. Terpenes and terpenoids are behind the scents of thyme, black pepper, lavender, citrus fruits, etc. The cannabis plant is rich in terpenes. It has been reported that certain terpene strains like caryophyllene, myrcene and limonene have beneficial effects particularly in relieving anxiety and stress. Terpenes can be used in aroma-therapy, and can also enhance the entourage effect when combined with other molecules in hemp.
What is the difference between CBD and THC?
In a nutshell, CBD and THC are both cannabinoids, but THC produces psychoactive effects while CBD doesn’t. THC is like CBD’s bigger brother. They mirror each other’s benefits a lot of the time, while also providing separate benefits from each. For example THC is an appetite stimulant, while CBD is an appetite suppressant.
Can I pass a drug test using your products?
Wave CBD products contain a trace amount of THC (no more than 0.3%). You will not fail a drug test as long as you keep your consumption under 1,500 milligrams per day. The average CBD user typically consumes between 20 to 200 milligrams daily.
Is your hemp certified organic?
The agricultural committee has not agreed on a certification process for hemp yet. However, our hemp is sourced through organic growing practices.
Are your products lab-tested?
Our CBD is tested in independent laboratories to insure purity. Our hemp extracts are tested for potency, heavy metals, residual solvents, and pesticides. Lab reports are available on request.
